Why do so many people seem to chase what they believe will make them happy only to find out they don't feel any happier when they obtain it? As hard as we might try to not be unhappy, we often remain unhappy. In this lesson, we will examine happiness so we might be able to determine how to achieve lasting happiness rather than a transitory feeling of happiness.

The English language uses one word for "happiness," but did you ever consider that happiness may have different layers or levels? Pleasure, laetus in Latin, is the most basic of instincts. Think: ice cream, linguine etc. It is happiness but doesn’t last long. Happiness in heaven, sublimitas, is everlasting. This lesson will discuss all four levels and how to move up the ladder.
